FROMM FOUNDATION COMPOSER FELLOWShip

Applications for our 2026 Fromm Foundation Composer Fellowships are NOW CLOSED. The application deadline is Jan. 1, 2026. Fellows will participate in intensive seminars, rehearsals, workshops and public colloquia with our distinguished 2026 Guest Composers Jeffrey Mumford (Week 2) and Patricia Alessandrini (Week 3). Composer Fellows will be at the Conference July 19-August 2, 2026, in Boscawen, New Hampshire (Avaloch Farm Music Institute). Accepted Fellows must be in residence at the Conference for this full two-week period. Fellows from previous years are welcome to reapply, but preference will be given to first-time applicants in order to practice greater equity and representation for this opportunity.

Under the guidance of Artistic Director Kurt Rohde, each Fromm Foundation Composer Fellow has a work publicly performed and professionally recorded by the Conference Ensemble, in addition to collaborating with the Fromm Foundation CPI Fellows on new works. The Composers Conference nurtures the creation, performance, and appreciation of music, serving as a catalyst for conscientious creativity through shared wisdom, expertise, and diverse artistry. Application information can be found below.
