Thanks to everyone who joined US as we Created Community Through Music, and celebrated our 80th anniversary on August 4!
New music is a space where everyone has a voice and anyone can belong! Our anniversary brings alive new works created for and premiered by our Conference Musicians, conducted by Music Director Vimbayi Kaziboni.
Audiences arrived at 3pm at Avaloch Farm Music Institute. Our Gala Concert with the Conference Ensemble took place at 4pm, featuring World Premieres by Chen Yi, Gleb Kanasevich, Shulamit Ran, Bahar Royaee, David Sanford, Augusta Read Thomas, Melinda Wagner, and Han Xu. At 6pm, an elegant dinner followed the concert.
